What is a "MEGASHOOT"?
Quickly becoming a well-known event for photographers and models from all over NYC and the US to come and work together to enhance their networks and portfolios in creative & respectful ways. The MEGASHOOT is exactly what it sounds like, it is essentially one massive photoshoot where photographers and models come to work together. No minimum experience is required, the only thing that is asked is that you come with a positive and friendly attitude, and you will go home with amazing photos. It is that simple!
What should I expect as a model / photographer?

The MEGASHOOT was created by photographers and models - which is why we know exactly what you expect and want to see at a show! You can expect space to work as a photographer, and plenty of friendly team members and fellow photographers who are looking to help eachother out - if you win, then we all win and vice versa! As a model you can expect the utmost respect for your love of creating memories! We respect what you want to create and provide you an unbeatable value for your time and money to work with the best NY/NJ/CT/PA photographers and help connect you to bigger events! We exist to work with you!

The MEGASHOOT team has received high praise from top tier models and photographers as being one of the only events of its kind based on the environment we provide for you to create in! We ensure to provide a safe space for creating and networking, unlike groups who promise safe spaces and prey on their talent and photographers, we are involved with every member of our events from start to finish! We value our events to be fair to your budget and give you a high return on investment by doubling your return value by having 15+ models and photographers on average for you to build your portfolio to the largest scale possible! How do you go about paying models?
COVER MODELS & Talent!
THE MEGASHOOT regularly averages anywhere from 9-14 models per each event - each model has an opportunity to make money at the event - what you would like to make depends on your level of outgoingness to work with each photographer and your own personal needs!
The team behind the MEGASHOOT will select anywhere from 2-6 models to feature as "COVER MODELS". The models that are selected will be used to promote the event through their image and likeness - therefore are entitled to a higher payout since we would be using their image and likeness to promote the event! Selections for this are made by a strict checks and balance system of asking for a models reputation with photographers, other models and event promoters - if you are interested in applying for a cover model opportunity - click here!
How many photos do I need to give models?
The more, The merrier!
While we do not demand you give any pre-determined amount of your work to the models at the event for free - we do reccomend that you share atleast 5 images or more to the models you work with. Why?
The more work you share, the higher your chances will be of landing a repeat model who may choose to pay you directly for your time as a photographer, which is all of our goals as photographers! This rule of thumb will help you expand your portfolio which in the long run, going to benefit you the most!
Of course, everyones needs are different so please be sure to communicate to the event organizer, Daniel aka @eyecamphotos, if you intend to chare per edit so he may communicate this to models who may ask for any specific questions regarding further payment once the event wraps up.
Are your models of age / come with model releases?
We work with adults and Model releases!
You do not have to worry about working with anyone who is under the legal age of 18 years old at ANY MEGASHOOT EVENT - EVER.
We work with age verified models who have amazing reputations for their work ethic and personality, this is a staple rule for every event we run. We do not endorse under age talent, and will provide a model release form specific to the MEGASHOOT upon request, free of charge to the photographer to submit to the model of their choice. We do very thorough checks into the models we bring to the event to ensure they have a positive aurora and are respected in the community!
THE MEGASHOOT is about fun and creating in a respectful environment now and forever!
What can I expect once the event begins?
An memorable experience from start to finish!
So you have decided, THE MEGASHOOT is my next event - what do I expect when the event starts?
I provide a group chat with all announced and un-announced models and photographers who will be in attendeanc for the event, this ensures everyone can introduce themselves to one another prior to the event. In addition, I am very organized and will tell you what time to arrive and what time you can expect to be done with the event. Once in the studio, you will be greeted by the entire EYECAM MEGASHOOT team and will be able to get right to work on what you came in for!
We promote positive and safe spaces for you to work, we do not play favorites nor do we priortize treatment of any photographer / promoter or model at the event - we are all equal! We do not affliations with any other group in NYC and are proud to offer a standalone expierence for you to fall in love with! We also promote groups of similar skill level or better as well, feel free to ask me about who those groups and how you can attend!
